A change appears to be on the horizon for McClain Tigers Boys Varsity Basketball. The Greenfield Board of Education has voted not to renew the contract of McClain varsity boys basketball coach Jesse Mitchell.
In three seasons as the Tigers head coach, Mitchell had a record of (17-53).
The board voted by a margin of 3-1 Thursday, not to renew Mitchell’s coaching contract. One board member abstained.
The school now must hire two head coaches, as they are still searching for a replacement for football coach Jeremey Andrews, who resigned after the fall season.
