As Memorial Day approaches, Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park will be the center of a military remembrance this Saturday.
Educator and Veteran Bob Leach is writing a book describing all 321 service members from Ross County who died in U.S. wars in the 20th century. That inspired the free event, "Ross County in the Nation's Wars," 1 to 4 this Saturday in and around Yoctangee Park.
To start it off, a popular display called "The Eyes of Freedom" will arrive about 6:45 Wednesday afternoon and installed in the old armory. The murals include Chillicothe's Aaron Reed.
