"Eyes of Freedom" on Display Again in Circleville

Patriotism, service, and sacrifice is on display at the Circleville Pumpkin Show...again.

Sean Flaharty is with the fifth year of a display in Memorial Hall in Circleville. He explains the "Eyes of Freedom" is a display that travels the country to honor all armed forces who have fallen, serve now, or are about to enter.

A local man is part of the message. The display is mostly paintings of the fallen members of the Lima Company, a Marine reserve unit based in Columbus. Flaharty said they are the faces to help tell the story. Chillicothean Aaron Reed is among them.

They also have a bronze statue "Silent Battle" to bring attention to those suffering with PTSD and suicide issues.

The displays are based in Wilmington. They travel with the "Spirit of America" display on all US wars.

Flaharty said they had an honor escort of more than 230 motorcycles and 40 Jeeps into Circleville.
