Washington C H won the first meeting between the schools by fairly wide margin: 53-34. However, the Lady Indians, despite trailing at different points in the third quarter, used a gritty defense and opportunistic offense to only trail 27-26 at the end of three periods.

Josie Hopknis, the WSRW "Player of the Game" for the second time in recent weeks, sharing team scoring honors with Dean at 11 points. Bledsoe added 8 and Karleigh Hopkins contributed 7.

For Washington C H Shawna Conger garnered a game-high 15 points while Jaleeya Tyree-Smith tossed in 10. The Indians return to the hardwood on Saturday for a rematch with Jackson. HHS lost the first meeting 54-50 in overtime.
