Two Injured After Vehicle Collides with Home in Scioto County

Two people were injured Monday after a car overturned and crashed into a home in Scioto County, and law enforcement says alcohol impairment is believed to have played a role.

According to the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident took place shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 20th as a 2005 Ford Taurus, operated by Sean E. White, 34, of Ironton, was traveling northwest along Haverhill Ohio Furnace Road. White’s vehicle is reported to have traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and then collided with a residence.

The home was occupied by Allison Klaiber, 21, and she sustained injuries as a result of the crash. She was treated at the scene by Green Township EMS.

Sean White’s injuries were more serious as he was ejected from his car during the crash. He was flown by AirEvac to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington West Virginia.
