The Pump House Center for the Arts reopen from their January break with one of their most popular shows, which showcases the incredible young talent in our area. “The Best of Ross County” is an exhibition of usually 70 to 80 pieces of art by students in grades 9 through 12.

The exhibition is open to all Ross County schools, including home schooled and independent schools and the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center.

Students may enter two pieces of artwork including oil, acrylic, mixed media, pencil, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, pen & ink, photography, ceramic, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.

This year’s show is sponsored by the Atomic Credit Union and Chillicothe Art League, with cash prizes and ribbons to students and schools.

The opening Reception and Awards Presentation will be Thursday, February 2nd, from 6:30 to 8:30, with light refreshments.

The exhibition runs February 1st through the 25th and is free and open to the public...like all shows at the Pump House Center for the Arts.
