Ron Fewster Celebrates 60 Years with McDonald's

A local entrepreneur is celebrating a major milestone today, Wednesday, July 28th.

Today marks 60 years since Ron Fewster began his involvement with McDonald's.

Fewster started with McDonald's in Toledo before becoming the owner of his own store in 1970. He moved to Chillicothe in 1972 where he opened the first McDonald's on Bridge Street. Fewster now operates seven McDonald's franchises in Chillicothe, Waverly, Circleville and Greenfield.

Fewster has earned many business awards over the years including entrepreneur of the year and the Jaycees' citizen of the year. He also served on the committee to bring the Ronald McDonald House to Columbus.
