Fall Harvest Crops Gets Better News

(24/7 News Source) -- Ohio's corn and soybean crops are running slightly ahead of the five-year average for development at this point of the growing season.

The agriculture department says conditions improved over the past week, with 19-percent of the state reported to be abnormally dry, compared to 37-percent last week.

Overall, 84-percent of the corn crop is reported to be in fair, good or excellent condition, along with 89-percent of the soybean crop.
