Fayette Commissioners Develop Revenue Sharing Plan

The Fayette County Commissioners have accepted a resolution to adopt an alternate formula for distribution of local government and local government revenue assistance funds. The formula was proposed by the Fayette County Budget Commission.

The adopted formula will apply to 2021 and will see 37.04-percent go to the County with 45.75-percent going to the City of Washington CH. Bloomingburg will receive 2.63-percent. Jeffersonville will receive 3.75-percent. Milledgeville will receive .75-percent with Octa receiving .08-percent.

10-percent will be divided between the County’s various townships.

In other business, last week, the Commissioners also accepted a proposal from Marquee Construction to complete HVAC renovation for a portion of the east side of the Fayette County Economic Development building at a cost of $35.5-thousand.

The Commissioners also accepted a proposed quote from Ross County Redi-Mix to complete 68 yards of concrete work at the Fayette County Airport at a cost of just under $8-thousand. ($7,995)
