Pickaway Lowered From Level 3 COVID Alert, Ross, Fayette, Highland- Level 2

Changes were announced Thursday at the local level in the alert status of COVID-19 for counties in the area.

Pickaway County was lowered from Red Level 3 to Orange Level 2, while Ross, Fayette, and Highland counties are also at Orange Level 2. Pike County still stands at Yellow Level 1.

The Ohio Department of Health is reporting its highest single-day COVID-19 case count since the outbreak began. A total of one-thousand-733 coronavirus cases were added in the past 24-hours, bringing the statewide total to nearly 90-thousand confirmed cases. The state's death toll sits at three-thousand-442-today. More than 25-hundred Ohioans have been admitted to the ICU during this pandemic.

Ohio Liquor Control Commission has unanimously agreed to end bar and restaurant alcohol sales at 10pm.

Governor Mike DeWine has said he’d sign an order making it effective tonight.

Bar owners, workers, and attorneys warned this will “devastate” the industry.
