Hillsboro Leaf Collection Starts October 28th

The City of Hillsboro will begin its fall leaf collection service during the last week of October. The Hillsboro Public Works Department will begin leaf collection on Monday, October 28th with the service continuing through December 28th.

The City asks that leaves be raked into rows along the edge of the curb and not into the street. It’s also requested that other yard waste such as branches and grass trimming not be mixed with leaf piles. Residents are also asked to be mindful of their parking during the collection service as block leaf piles will not be collection.

Apartment complexes, mobile home parks, private sub divisions and all private roads are excluded from collection.

The leaf collection schedule is as follows:

October 28th through November 15th is for the area between South High Street (62 South) and West Main Street (50 West).

November 18th through November 29th is for the area between South High Street (62 South) and East Main Street (50 East).

.

December 3rd through December 14th is for the area between North High Street and East Main Street.

December 17th through December 28th is for the area between North High Street and West Main Street.
