Ross Humane Society Warns Against Leaving Pets Outside in Extreme Heat

The Ross County Humane Society is sharing a warning about the danger of leaving pets outside during bouts of extreme heat.

The Human Society took to Twitter on Tuesday after two dogs in the county succumbed to heat stroke and passed away.

They say one of the animals accidentally escaped its owner's home, the other was left tied up outside in the sun. Charges of neglect in the second case are being pursued against the dog's owner.
