Greenfield Native Debuts New Movie

A theatre in Wilmington is set to premier a new film written and directed by a former Greenfield resident and Wilmington High School graduate.

'From Gettysburg to Baghdad' is the title of the film written and directed by Artie Knapp. It tells the story of two soldiers from different time periods who are brought together through use of a time machine. 

The film will premier this Saturday, October 21st at the Murphy Theatre in Wilmington. A meet-and-greet with Knapp will take place at 1:30 p.m. that afternoon with the film set to begin at 3:15 p.m. 

According to the Hillsboro Times-Gazette, Knapp was brought up in Greenfield in the mid 1970s. His father spent three years at McClain High School, teaching English and coaching football. Knapp graduated from Wilmington HS in 1991. He currently resides in Cincinnati, where he works as an author. He also penned a movie in 2002 titled 'Pluto's Plate.'
